Sullivan’s Aunt Liz and Grandma Bugsie swooped in for a quick visit this afternoon, which gave Mom and Dad a chance to get some things done around the house.
Sullivan cooled down, and so did his appetite. He slept a lot through the day, making up a bit for last night. In the afternoon Auntie Liz came to visit, enjoyed Sullivan’s bathtime, and stayed for dinner. She was impressed by the size of his baby hands.
Ooops: forgot to mention in day 24 that Sullivan received his birth certificate! Now he can travel to Calgary. FYI, he already has his social security card (like social security will still exist by the time he qualifies).
We wanted to bathe Sullivan before his Sunday portrait, but the bath didn’t happen until today, so this week’s Sunday portrait is really a Tuesday portrait.
Auntie Kate arrived back in New Orleans to Maine-like weather, while we’re suffering with what they usually have. SMG hung out in his diaper all day. We wished we could do the same. Today’s big accomplishment was planting grass and garden seeds in the evening when things began to cool off and when Sullivan finally caught some zzzz’s in his swing.
Bonus - see if you can guess which former babysitter in Augusta drew Marsh’s blood today at the doctor’s office? (Hint: think long, plastic fingernails)
Sullivan has inherited his parents’ love of food and perhaps food shopping too. We stocked up on groceries on Sunday, and we were thankful for the air conditioning. The baby has some heat bumps and had trouble getting comfortable in Sunday’s heat and humidity. It didn’t slow his appetite, however…
This morning we went for a walk to Bakery 158 for scones and then on to Willard beach. The temperature crept over 90 degrees this afternoon. Even simply walking was enough to make one break a sweat. We also stopped by to see Sheri and Noah in their new house.
We squeezed in a little more gardening before Auntie Liz arrived to meet her first nephew. She finished her last exam at school today and is now home! We hope to see much of her in the next few weeks.
Sullivan ate voraciously all day long, which gave Mom a chance to chew his nails. We are certain that he is over eight pounds now and seems to have grown an inch as well.
If you live in Alberta, mark you calendars! The Sullivan, Teressa, and Marsh Great Baby Tour is coming to Calgary July 16th.
Sullivan helped his Dad search the internet for good fares.
